Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 6, 2026 · Version 2026-08-06
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of MoneyYogi, a personal finance application provided by MoneyYogi LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("MoneyYogi", "we", "us"). By creating an account or otherwise using the service you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
MoneyYogi is a read-only personal finance organizer. We help you see your accounts, transactions, budgets, and goals in one place. The MoneyYogi service is not a bank, broker-dealer, investment adviser, or tax preparer, does not move money, does not hold deposits, does not execute trades, and does not file taxes on your behalf. Connections to financial institutions through Plaid are read-only.
Josh Humada is affiliated with Boundless Wealth LLC, a Texas state-registered investment adviser, which also does business as Money Holistics. MoneyYogi coaching calls are a separate, educational service — they are not investment, legal, accounting, or tax advice, and no advisory or fiduciary relationship is created through them. Using MoneyYogi does not create an advisory, brokerage, or fiduciary relationship with Boundless Wealth LLC or Josh Humada, and no investment advice is provided through the MoneyYogi app. For advice tailored to your situation, including investment advice, engage Boundless Wealth LLC or another licensed professional in your state.
2. Eligibility & Account
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your state) and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract. MoneyYogi is offered only to residents of the United States. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for safeguarding your credentials. You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the service for unlawful purposes, fraud, or spam;
- infringe intellectual property or privacy rights;
- introduce malware or interfere with the security or integrity of the service;
- scrape, probe, reverse engineer, or circumvent technical limits;
- resell or redistribute the service without our written permission.
4. AI Features & Acceptable Use
MoneyYogi includes AI-powered features — the in-app chat and related "skills" — that send your prompts and the minimum context needed to answer (for example a date range, a category, or a small set of transactions) to large language models operated by our AI providers in order to generate a response. Transaction categorization is a separate, rules-based system (your rules, then remembered merchant assignments, then Plaid's personal-finance category codes) and does not send transaction context to a large language model. When using AI features, you agree:
- not to submit prompts intended to generate illegal, harmful, hateful, sexually exploitative, or deceptive content, malware, or content that infringes others' rights;
- not to attempt to jailbreak, prompt-inject, or otherwise circumvent safety controls;
- you are responsible for your prompts and for any decisions you take based on AI output;
- AI output is provided for organizational and informational purposes only and is not financial, investment, legal, or tax advice;
- we may filter, refuse, log, or restrict AI requests and responses to enforce these Terms or protect the service.
4a. AI Output: Assumption of Risk
Please read this section carefully, it affects your legal rights.
AI output in MoneyYogi is generated by probabilistic large language models. It may be inaccurate, incomplete, or fabricated even when it appears confident and specific — including statements about your own accounts, balances, transactions, recurring charges, and account statuses.
You agree to independently verify any figure, balance, date, or fact from AI output against your own bank, card, or brokerage statements before making any financial decision or taking any action in reliance on it. You assume the risk of acting on AI output without independent verification, and you release MoneyYogi LLC from claims arising out of such unverified reliance.
AI output does not create an advisory, fiduciary, or professional relationship, and is not a substitute for a licensed financial adviser, accountant, attorney, or tax professional. AI features depend on third-party model providers; output is not guaranteed to be available, consistent, or reproducible from one session to the next.
Nothing in this section limits liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury, where such limitation is prohibited by law.
5. Spaces & Shared Access
MoneyYogi organizes data into "Spaces" (e.g. a Personal space and one or more Business spaces). The user who creates a Space is its owner and is the contracting party for billing, membership, and deletion of that Space. The owner may invite additional members as editors (who can change data) or viewers (read-only). Every invited member must have their own MoneyYogi account and agrees to these Terms upon accepting an invitation. By inviting a member, the owner authorizes us to share that Space's data with them in line with their role. The in-app AI chat is a shared surface within a Space: anything a member types into chat, and the AI's response, is visible to every other member of that Space.
5a. Third-Party AI Client Access (MCP)
MoneyYogi exposes an optional interface (the "Model Context Protocol" or "MCP" endpoint) that lets you connect an external AI client — for example a third-party AI assistant or agent — to your MoneyYogi account. If you choose to connect an external client and grant it access, you authorize MoneyYogi to respond to that client's read-only requests using the tools the endpoint currently exposes. Today those tools are limited to identifying your account (your user id and email) and listing your Spaces (id, name, kind, and creation date). We may add additional read-only skills over time; this section and Privacy §4a describe the tools available today and will be updated as the set changes.
Once data leaves MoneyYogi through an external AI client, the client renders it in a user interface MoneyYogi does not control, and none of MoneyYogi's in-app disclosures, warnings, or safety filters attach to that output. Section 4a's assumption of risk applies equally to any output rendered by a third-party AI client using your MoneyYogi data. That client's own terms and privacy notice govern what it does with your data once received. To revoke a client's access, email josh@moneyyogi.ai from the address on your account and we will revoke the authorization; a self-serve control is not yet available. Revocation stops future requests but does not recall data already delivered.
6. Intellectual Property
MoneyYogi and all related software, branding, and documentation are owned by MoneyYogi LLC. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within the plan you have purchased. You retain ownership of the content you input; you grant us a limited license to host and process it solely to provide the service.
7. Subscription, Payment, Taxes, and Renewals
MoneyYogi is offered as a paid subscription with a 14-day free trial. Plans are: MoneyYogi at $20 USD/month or $199 USD/year; MoneyYogi Personal Coaching at $199 USD/month or $1,990 USD/year; and MoneyYogi Business Coaching at $299 USD/month or $2,990 USD/year, plus applicable sales tax where required. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) at the then-current price, until you cancel. You authorize MoneyYogi and our payment processor to charge your payment method on each renewal.
Seller and payment processor. MoneyYogi LLC is the seller of your subscription and is responsible for billing, refunds, and customer support. We use Stripe, Inc. as our payment processor to accept and process payments; your payment method is stored by Stripe, not by MoneyYogi.
How to cancel. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Subscription, which opens the Stripe billing portal for your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then.
Legacy subscribers. A small number of accounts remain on a previous payment provider that predates our Stripe integration. If your Settings → Subscription screen shows "Managed by our previous payment provider" and no in-app cancel button, email josh@moneyyogi.ai from the address on your account to cancel or to request a refund; we will process it manually.
Annual renewal reminders. For annual subscriptions, we will send you an email reminder between 3 and 21 days before each renewal.
8. Refunds
See our Refund Policy.
9. Service Levels & Warranties
Please read this section carefully, it affects your legal rights.
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MoneyYogi disclaims all implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. MoneyYogi does not provide financial, investment, legal, or tax advice; information shown is for organizational purposes only and you remain responsible for your financial decisions. Optional 1:1 coaching calls offered through MoneyYogi are educational, not advisory; the full disclosure is set out immediately below.
Coaching is educational, not advisory. For advice tailored to your situation, including investment advice, engage Boundless Wealth LLC or another licensed professional in your state.
10. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. On termination, your access ends; you may export your data within a reasonable window before deletion.
11. Liability
Please read this section carefully, it affects your legal rights.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MoneyYogi LLC's aggregate liability under these Terms is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim. MoneyYogi LLC will not be liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in this section limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where such limitation is prohibited by law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MoneyYogi LLC from third-party claims arising out of your content, your unlawful use of the service, or your violation of these Terms. This obligation does not apply to claims arising from (a) MoneyYogi's gross negligence or willful misconduct, or (b) MoneyYogi's own infringement of a third party's intellectual property.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to Section 13a, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas.
13a. Binding Individual Arbitration; Class-Action Waiver
Please read this section carefully, it affects your legal rights.
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service ("Dispute") will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court, except as set out below. The arbitrator (not any court) has exclusive authority to resolve any Dispute, including the scope or enforceability of this arbitration agreement.
Class-action waiver. You and MoneyYogi each agree that Disputes will be brought only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not preside over any form of representative proceeding.
Carve-outs. Either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court for matters within its jurisdiction, and either party may seek injunctive relief in court for actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation, or violation of intellectual property rights.
30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing josh@moneyyogi.ai with the subject "Arbitration Opt-Out" within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Your email must include your account email and a clear statement that you wish to opt out. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.
Arbitration will take place in Travis County, Texas (or by video at the consumer's election). Each party bears its own attorneys' fees except as the arbitrator may award under applicable law.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms with a new "Updated" date and, for material adverse changes, will notify you by email or in-app at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
